This was my second food stop of the day. I live in Center Point, so I like to spend my $$ in my neighborhood as time permits. Admittedly, the plan was to get an apple fritter or two at Pop Donuts, but they are now closed on Mondays. Zatie's really impressed me by how clean the place was, the friendliness of the service and the way the employees reacted with each other in a very pleasant and helpful way. I got the dark meat chicken combo with yams and mac and cheese. I had to wait a minute or two for the mac and cheese to be refilled, but it was definitely a worthwhile wait as i found out once I got the food home and began to eat. The baked chicken was also really tasty. I'm assuming the yams were cooked with butter and brown sugar because they taste like the yams i grew up eating and that's how they were prepared. It did take me a couple of meals to finish everything, but I was definitely happy to have made the stop.

Super fresh creative and delicious salads! Excellent black owned business, will definitely be back. The carrot cake bread pudding is phenomenal!

The food is always good and well seasoned. I've yet to be disappointed and will be returning. The sole downside is that fried chicken is only cooked fresh... So you've will be waiting. There are maybe 6 tables, so you may have to take the delicious food to go

They are just nasty, no kind of flavor on the liver. Green beans taste like salt and the Macaroni and cheese looks done on the top but the inside is watery and taste like butter and eggs. Ok so I went back today 11/9/23 a whole year later and I'm mad as hell about my 14.09. Green beans have no taste at all, butter beans have a taste I've never tasted doesn't even taste like a bean. The little bite of my baked chicken was straight but I didn't even want it due to the sides 😭 #NotAgain🤬

If you're going on a Sunday, pack your patience. The line was out the door but it was oh so worth it. This is a small soul food restaurant that serves huge portions at a more than reasonable price. The side selections were pretty typical for Sunday dinner and packed with flavor. I ordered the baked chicken -dark with greens, Mac n cheese, dressing and cornbread. When I tell you these greens were so good... I didn't put my fork down until I finished. The Mac n cheese was both creamy and stretchy, the dressing was just ok but not bad and the baked chicken was AHmazing! There was so much food on the plate, the rest will be for another meal. The staff was friendly, the food was fresh and it was everything I needed for a Sunday afternoon. Try this place!!!!! We got two meals for $25 and I ordered an extra side.

This place is everything you want from a great soul food spot. The folks are great, and the food is delicious! The portions are BIG! I should have stuck with the meat and 2, but I had to get an extra side of squash. If you go, get the butter beans! They are amazing!
